I haven't sent a family news letter for awhile so I am posting our latest here.
One funny thing I want to make sure I mention... We were watching the 1st Presidency Christmas Devotional tonight and Darren recognized a man in the choir and said "He dyed his hair." and Rachel responded "Why did he kill his hair?"
She hears everything we say. She is growing up so fast. And she is just like me when I was little. Oh, who am I kidding I am still the same. And she is driving me crazy! I am constantly saying "You are not in charge." or "Are you the Mom?" or "Rachel, I will take care of it." Yes, Mom I got one just like me. I know that is the hope of every parent who has a tough kid. But, it is also great to be so alike because we have so much fun together. We love crafts and reading. She still loves school and because she is in 1st grade the majority of her "homework" is reading and practicing for spelling and vocabulary tests. She doesn't consider these things "homework". So, a couple weeks ago she did Alec's homework for him. He was very upset. (See below to find out why.) She wanted "homework" to do. So, I bought her the biggest 1st grade workbook I could find. She works in it all the time.
Alec is amazing me everyday with his
enthusiasum for school and learning. He loves school and asks every morning when he wakes up "Am I going to school today?" (He is really disappointed on the weekends.) Mondays after school he comes home excited because he has homework. (Which is why he was so upset when he found out Rachel had done his.) He is my best cuddle bug. He loves kisses, and hugs.
Garrett is quite the trooper - always running errands with me while the other two are in school. He loves to color like Rachel. His new interest is puzzles. Which takes
alot of patience on my part (and we all know I don't have much of that.) But, he gets so excited
everytime he gets two pieces together, he jumps up and down and says "I did it! I did it!". And that makes it worth it for me.
They all enjoyed playing in the snow this weekend. We got our first real snow.
Darren and I finished up the Christmas shopping this weekend. Yeah!!!
I am loving
Scentsy. I just became a director! I am enjoying
YW we have great girls in the ward and they make it so fun.
Darren is working all the time with the new project he is on. But, he has a job and a project so that is good.
I guess that is all!
