Alec "Shines"!

Wednesday nights are "tough" sometimes for the Carpenter's. I have mutual every Wednesday and Darren has planning commission twice a month on Wednesday. So, to help out last month Darren took Alec and Rachel with him, he let them play out in the lobby on the 3rd floor in the city building. He was called out of his meeting to come and see what his children were up to. These two had been picking at the potted plants they would throw the leaves over the balcony and watch them float down to the 1st floor. Onto the woman who works at the reception desk I might add. Amongst their frolicking they collided, Alec's eye and Rachel's forhead, Alec got the "shiner"! That night it was swollen off his head about an inch. By morning the swelling had gone down but the color started appearing. We had fun watching it change colors and move slowly down his eye all week.

Milestones

Garrett had his 4th Birthday in January. He's becoming quite a handsome young man!

Rachel turned 8 in March. We celebrated on her birthday with Chuck E. Cheese. We all had a blast!


That evening we had the professional pics taken. I love this one, she has the most beautiful eyes.


Ashlyn at 7 months. We took Ashlyn's pics in this dress because I had Rachel's pics taken in the same outfit at about the same age.


Speaking of the same dress at the same age. Rachel wore my baptism dress, that my Mom made for me, on her baptism day. It was special for me...I hope someday Rachel will think so also.

And speaking of her baptism day it was amazing! What a special day! We had alot of friends and family there that made it even more special. Rachel just glowed!
Rachel wants to say "Thank you!" to her Dad for baptizing and confirming her and to everyone who came and to those who gave her gifts. She says it was a "great" day and she loves her presents. She was especially excited to see some of her friends she had not seen in awhile.
