Wow, A New Year!

The last 2 months just flew by. We had a fantastic Thanksgiving -Thank you Pam & Doug for hosting!- with family and friends. It was quiet a group. Darren's Mom & Roger, Roger's daughter Haylie, Doug's Brother Scott and his kids and girlfriend, Darren's Aunt Barbara & Uncle Al, 3 of The Hogg kids: Trevor, Nicole, and Jarom. Their Mom and Dad were in South Africa picking up their brother Tim from his mission. Welcome home Tim!

We had a great Thanksgiving Dinner and alot of fun playing games. Barbara and Al brought the Mormon version of Mad Gab it was so fun!

My Mom and Dad came for Christmas. They flew in on Christmas Eve and since we were in SLC picking them up at the airport we went to the lights at Temple Square. It was cold but a lot of fun. The kids loved it. Ashlyn was nice and bundled in her car seat in the double stroller -Thank you Lacey for letting us borrow it!- It came in quiet handy especially for the older kids to take turns riding, starting with their snowball fight when Alec hit Garrett in the face with a snowball(I should say ice slush) which stings really bad as most of us know and of course made him cold as well. I tried to explain to Alec there is a time and place for snowball fights and night-time at Temple Square is not it. Then Garrett I guess wasn't cold enough so he put his gloved hands in the reflecting pool. I think we made it back to the cars with no further incidence.
