We just returned from the trip of a lifetime to California thanks to Grandma Karin. We had a wonderful week with Darren's Mom(Grandma Karin), brother(Mike) and sister(Pam) and their families. There was 18 of us! We caravaned out there in 3 Dodge caravans! We stayed in Vegas on the way out and St.George on the way back. We spent 3 days at Disneyland and California Adventure, a day at Universal Studios and a day at the Beach. It was an awesome trip!
The first day was rainy but it made for short lines, we walked right on most rides. The only mistake we made was thinking we would just get rainjackets at the park...we were soaked by the time we got in!
By Thursday when we went to the beach the weather was beautiful. The water was a little cold but tolerable once you got use to it. Some even rented boogie boards and body surfed. The kids had a great time looking for crabs, seashells and jumping the waves as they would roll in.
We saw lots of fun characters at all the parks.
The kids keep asking when we are going back!
